Email: jim@etengofflaw.com

James (“Jim”) Pak primarily focuses his practice on personal injury/wrongful death claims, but he also handles civil litigation and real estate matters. He is well versed in contracts and counsels small and medium sized businesses, corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies (LLCs).

Jim is a native of Western Washington having been born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. He attended the University of Washington at its main campus in Seattle where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with Co-Concentrations in Finance and Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior.

Jim’s legal career began in 1997 as a law clerk with the law firm of Kain, Snow & Staeheli while he was attending law school at the Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington. He worked with two of the firm’s partners, one of whom focused his practice on personal injury and wrongful death cases and the other maintained a transactional practice concentrating mainly on matters of real estate, business, and corporate law. It was there where Jim received the foundation of his future law career and the areas of law that he would eventually practice.

After graduating early from law school, he left Kain, Snow & Staeheli and relocated to Arizona where he worked as an associate with the law firm of Doherty & Alex handling predominantly cases involving personal injury and small businesses. After building up his caseload with nearly 120 active cases with minimal support, he departed Doherty & Alex to establish his own firm where he could focus more on his clients. For over 13 years, he maintained an office in Tacoma, Washington, providing legal assistance to those in need, until he relocated to Vancouver to merge his practice with Loren’s.

In addition to his main areas of practice, he has handled a variety of cases ranging from employment law, probate/wills, consumer bankruptcy, and criminal matters, just to name a few. As an entrepreneur, he has first hand experience in start-up businesses, as well as the knowledge of how much time and effort is required to own and operate small businesses to make them successful. He has effectively negotiated business acquisitions and sales personally and for his clients. Jim’s diverse legal background and business experience has been instrumental in understanding the needs of his personal injury clients when pursuing claims on their behalves.

In addition to his legal career, Jim is also a licensed real estate agent. He is a principal of Attorneys Realty, L.L.C., which is a real estate brokerage he started with a lawyer colleague in 2005. Starting with just several agents, he has grown to become a mid-size boutique brokerage with approximately 50 real estate agents. He is well versed in residential and commercial sales and leasing transactions, as well as property management. Over the years, he has negotiated numerous purchases and leases for commercial and residential properties on behalf of his business and individual clients. His knowledge and experience in real estate law has been an asset for his clients and those of Attorneys Realty. Due to his extensive knowledge base, he is able to provide his clients with the most comprehensive representation at an affordable cost.

Jim is constantly learning to better himself, which in turn benefits his clients. His quest for knowledge is a byproduct of his work ethic, which was instilled in him by his Korean immigrant parents.

In his spare time, Jim enjoys spending time with his 13-year old son, Jett, and his 12-year old daughter, London. Over the years, he has enjoyed coaching Jett’s flag football teams and supporting London’s dream of one day becoming an actress or professional dancer. He now enjoys watching them play tackle football and volleyball, respectively. He also enjoys wakesurfing, a round of golf, spending time with family and friends, and rooting for his alma maters in football and basketball, and of course the Seattle Seahawks.
